The Community Calendars Project is the result of a collaborative effort of First 5 Santa Barbara County, the Child Care Planning Council of Santa Barbara County and various other early care and education partners who are committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for professional development activities that support the local early care workforce.
This calendar includes training, conferences, workshops, learning communities, events, and networking opportunities open to the early care and education community.

Webinar: Whole Child Learning in the Outdoor Classroom

$35How do children learn in the Outdoor Classroom? What does learning look like? How do you know what they are learning when they are playing outdoors? The Outdoor Classroom approach is much more than “just” playing outside; it’s the foundation for whole child learning. This webinar, presented by Ellen Veselack, Director of Preschool Programs and Associate Director of The Outdoor Classroom Project, will provide a discussion of learning across all developmental domains, looking at what children are doing and the skills they are developing as they play.
