The Community Calendars Project is the result of a collaborative effort of First 5 Santa Barbara County, the Child Care Planning Council of Santa Barbara County and various other early care and education partners who are committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for professional development activities that support the local early care workforce.
This calendar includes training, conferences, workshops, learning communities, events, and networking opportunities open to the early care and education community.

Teaching Pyramid Overview

This training is an overview of the CSEFEL Teaching Pyramid intended as a refresher for new teachers and Special Education teams.
This is an excellent way to become familiar with the strategies, language, and classroom support that is common in the preschool community in Santa Barbara County.
Topic areas to be discussed include:
- The Teaching Pyramid Conceptual Framework
- How the Brain Impacts our Behavior and the Behavior of Children
- Levels of the Pyramid and Some Fundamental Strategies
This training will be a video recording and a live Zoom. You will view an up to 2-hour pre-recorded training available from August 21st, 2023 – August 30th, 2023, with a mandatory live Zoom follow-up on Thursday, August 31st, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.
