The Community Calendars Project is the result of a collaborative effort of First 5 Santa Barbara County, the Child Care Planning Council of Santa Barbara County and various other early care and education partners who are committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for professional development activities that support the local early care workforce.

This calendar includes training, conferences, workshops, learning communities, events, and networking opportunities open to the early care and education community.

Overwhelming situations can steal your peace and professionalism. We invite infant/toddler, preschool, and TK teachers, along with program directors and administrators to join Kim Engelhardt of Lakeshore as she shares strategies for keeping calm and maintaining professionalism during overwhelming situations and the importance of you being a model for your staff.

Participants will learn to:

  • Identify key characteristics of
    leadership professionalism.
  • Utilize effective calming strategies to
    maintain peace and professionalism
    during overwhelming situations.
