The Community Calendars Project is the result of a collaborative effort of First 5 Santa Barbara County, the Child Care Planning Council of Santa Barbara County and various other early care and education partners who are committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for professional development activities that support the local early care workforce.
This calendar includes training, conferences, workshops, learning communities, events, and networking opportunities open to the early care and education community.

The California Department of Social Services, in collaboration with WestEd, is offering a series of free webinars on Wednesdays (and one on Tuesday) from 6:00 p.m – 8:00 p.m.
- August 20: Improving Behavior with the CA Teaching Pyramid
- September 24: Inclusion Works! Part A: Universal Design & Belonging
- REVISED DATE October 29: Inclusion Works! Part B: Collaboration & Adaptation
- January 21: Inclusion Works! Part C: Modifications & Accommodations
- REVISED DATE March 3 (Tuesday): Building Relationships Across Teams: Connections and Continuity
Following each webinar, participants will be invited to a ninety-minute virtual small group session called “Collaborative Conversations: Follow-up to Inclusion Webinars and Support on Inclusion”. These sessions are designed to facilitate conversations with others in similar roles to discuss specific areas of interest or concern in relation to supporting inclusion and will be facilitated by a Beginning Together trainer who can provide technical assistance, additional information, and resources.
