The Community Calendars Project is the result of a collaborative effort of First 5 Santa Barbara County, the Child Care Planning Council of Santa Barbara County and various other early care and education partners who are committed to creating a “one-stop shop” for professional development activities that support the local early care workforce.
This calendar includes training, conferences, workshops, learning communities, events, and networking opportunities open to the early care and education community.
Calendar submissions should be submitted using the Event Submission Form and sent to: sbcccpc@sbceo.org
Please read submission guidelines by clicking Calendar Posting Guidelines.
Join EveryChild California’s Southern Section and consultant Ruth Beaglehole for this presentation on the concept and journey of Healing Centered Engagement. This is a non-clinical, strength-based approach that advances a holistic view of healing and re-centers culture and identity as a central feature in well-being. We will extend beyond trauma informed practices of care, to collective healing and learning through activism. We will adapt our approaches that include individualistic responses to trauma, to embrace collective strategies of resilience that restore well-being. We will answer the questions, how do we shift the paradigm of healing to hold both individual well-being and collective community well-being?
