Audience: Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten administrators, directors, teachers, and support staff
Topic:
This series will delve into the following concepts aligned to the Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations (PTKLF) :
- Identify key principles of language development.
- Integrated and designated ELD strategies that are responsive to the language development needs of dual language learners (DLLs).
- Language-rich learning environments that support language use across play, routines, and content areas.
- Culturally and linguistically responsive practices that affirm and include children’s home languages and cultural identities.
All participants will receive a hard copy of the Preschool/Transitional Kindergarten Toolkit for English Learner Roadmap and continental breakfast and lunch, provided by the Early Education Teacher Development Grant Funds. A $110 value.
